Asset registration is one of the foundational features of DeFi Mall. The process of asset registration is typically completed by a gateway or a gateway proxy. All gateway-registered or proxy-registered assets require the trust of the asset owner. Only the parties who trust each other can trade the same type of asset. The registered assets are primarily categorized into:
Currency Type Assets: These are mainly used for interfacing between gateways and other digital currency or digital asset platforms. For example, a gateway can register the asset code for BTC, and any account holding BTC can trust that gateway and deposit BTC assets into the gateway’s account. The amount of currency-type assets is unlimited; gateways can register as many asset symbols as they have in actual currency assets.
Physical Type Assets: These refer to the digitization of physical assets, usually registered by enterprises or institutions and sold through gateways. Such assets typically have a certain quota. Once registered, their issuance is limited through a self-destruct mechanism based on operational permission thresholds.
When users purchase BTC, USDT, or any other currency on the platform, the platform automatically matches them with the exchange offering the lowest current price for the chosen currency. For selling, the platform finds the global exchange with the highest price. All these transactions are facilitated by the DeFi Mall protocol and blockchain, allowing users to earn money effortlessly.
